I just wanted to add a quick note about the importance of a solid backup solution. It takes years to accumulate all your data but only seconds for it to be lost. Implementing a good backup strategy doesn’t need to be a feared task by any means. In fact, it could be as simple as adding an external hard drive and doing a manual backup once per week (or a reasonable time period depending on your data usage).
On the other hand, it could also be a fully-automatic and redundant solution that provides near real-time backup with no manual intervention at all. The best scenario would take this to the next level and do an off-site backup to prevent against a localized disaster.
